Blasting
Blasting is the best way of removing rust, scales and old paint. Blasting is done by propelling an abrasive like steel grit or glass beads at high velocity through a special nozzle on the object.
Straalbedrijf Petersen is a specialist regarding blasting with cast iron, steel grit, aluminium oxide as well as glass bead.
With this large variety we are able to provide our clients with a complete program.
Steel and/or zinc parts, non ferrous materials such as aluminium and stainless or corrosion free steel are dealt with and are good materials to work with.
We have a 750m² blasting hall with;
- A steel blasting booth of 18 x 8 x 6,5 metre.
- A steel blasting booth of 6 x 3,5 x 3,5 metre.
- A corund blasting booth of 10 x 5 x 5,5 metre.
- A glass bead blasting booth of 6 x 3 x 2,5 metre.
The next step could be metallisation. And/or the application of the correct paint or paint system for the object to have years of safeguarding against rust or any other weather related influences.
